1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

The tigers!!! They got so close and we saw several during our many safaris. The staff at the Kana Courtyard were wonderful. Oh and the food!

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

I think the 2nd half of our trip was outsourced, as it wasn't a standard itinerary for the vendor. Our Kerala driver wasn't very personable and kept trying to take us to all the 'commission' stops. Also check that the parks on the itinerary are actually open. Dry waterfalls, although they were highlighted on the itinerary. We were so excited to do a hike in one of the parks with some rare wildlife. Nope, the park was closed. Check on the in country flights. Seems like we wasted a day flying into Delhi. Looking at flight options after the fact, we could have avoided a wasted day in Delhi. Hard to do a Cochin sightseeing tour in the afternoon, when the flight doesn't even get in until after dark.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

The first half of the trip, I would definitely agree.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

1st half of the trip 5 stars and it was excellent! 2nd half of the trip 2 stars. I do appreciate the willingness to get this set up, but the itinerary provided wasn't followed and the driver didn't meet expectations. The approx 24 hours in Delhi was a waste and was not needed when we looked at other flight options. We did get a Delhi tour added last minute, but a full day in Delhi with nothing planned?

Read the operator's response here:

Greetings We much appreciate your quick feedback as it helps us to further improve ourselves noticed as per your revives that you liked the first half but the second half of the tour was not soo good. However we took the feedback from our ground staff and realized that the driver was not speaking the kind of English you were expecting we would like to inform that yes in Kerala the accent of the driver English is a bit different as compared to North so sometimes it becomes difficult for the guest to understand. Also you will notice that you did not took the local English speaking guide in some place at Kerala which really make s great difference. But as said earlier its a continuous process of learning and to keep on improving ourselves. We sincerely regret for this & have taken your suggestions in a very positive manner. Look forward to have you here again.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Staying at the lodge, in the buffer zone, listening to the night around a bonfire with wonderful snacks and a gin and tonic, then visiting the local villages on a walk the following day. The jungle safaris were amazing particularly the elephant back experience and of course seeing the tigers.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Spend time in Delhi, it's a complete shock to the system, but a real authentic Indian experience, especially 'going it alone' on the metro! Take lots of layers, you cannot imagine how cold it is before dawn in an open top safari jeep. Do some village walks rather than back, to back safaris.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Supported conservation of the tiger, clearly tigers are a big part of the economy in madyha pradesh, which locals clearly understand.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Absolutely fabulous. The arrangements went like clockwork, everyone was extremely welcoming and genuinely keen to ensure we had an amazing time in their country.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Having the most amazing Tiger sightings.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

Make sure you book more than 2 safari's preferably 4 to be sure to see Tigers. We were lucky and enjoyed some amazing views of Tigers and cubs but we booked a lot of jeep safari's. The numbers of Tigers in Tadoba have significantly increased and we even saw them in the buffer zone so definitely worth a visit.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

We hope so and certainly the locals in the parks did behave reponsibly with the Tiger sightings especially in Kanha National Park.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Superb, we had a great time and enjoyed both Tadoba and Kanha national parks, the lodges we stayed at and saw some amazing wildlife and birds too.
